Dogs Left in Cars

Hello residents of St Peters and Beacon ward, 

There has been an increase in calls in the area in relation to dogs being left in cars during the hot weather. Please see below on information regarding this:

With temperatures rising, we want to remind everyone of the serious danger of leaving dogs in vehicles.

Even on a mild day, the temperature inside a car can rise rapidly within minutes, putting animals at risk of heatstroke, organ failure, and even death.

🚨 If you see a dog left in a hot vehicle:

⚠️ Heatstroke can happen very quickly – please don’t ignore it.

✅ Advice for dog owners:

👮‍♀️ We rely on the public to be our eyes and ears – if you’re concerned about an animal’s welfare, report it.
